Is there a minimum amount of chocolate I have to order?
Great question! Because each product is crafted just for you with custom engraving and premium packaging, most of our products do have minimum order quantities. These minimums help ensure the highest level of quality, consistency, and customization in every chocolate we create. We offer a wide range of products with different minimums, so there’s always an option that fits your gifting needs. Once I place my order, how long will it take to ship?
Our turnaround times are designed to keep your gifting experience smooth, simple, and Totally Delightful. For full custom gifts, our standard turnaround time is 10 business days from art approval. For our personalized message or stock products, our turnaround time is 3 business days. For our 72-hour quick ship items, turnaround time is also 3 business days. We will then ship based on the ship method requested.
Will I get a receipt or invoice for my order?
Totally! No matter how you place your order, online or with one of our team members, we’ll send your invoice/receipt straight to your inbox as soon as your chocolate ships. The invoice will be sent to the email address used to place the order.

If you need to make a change after approving your artwork, please reach out to us right away. Once art is approved, our production team moves quickly to ensure on-time delivery, which means changes may no longer be possible. I’ve ordered the wrong number of chocolates. Can I change the quantity?
If you’ve ordered the wrong number of chocolates, please contact us as soon as possible. Once your quantity is confirmed, we’re typically unable to make changes. However, if your order hasn’t gone into production or been packed yet, we’ll do everything we can to help correct the mistake.
How will I know if my order has shipped?

Does customization require a mold or set-up fee?
A mold fee (also called a set-up fee) is a one-time charge that applies to most custom chocolate and packaging items. This fee covers the creation of the custom mold used to engrave your artwork directly into the chocolate, as well as the set-up required to produce your full custom packaging – ensuring every detail looks crisp, premium, and Totally Original! For multi-piece products, additional mold or set-up fees may apply. Please note that all molds are the property of the factory.
Do you offer discounts on your items?
Yes, we do! We offer volume quantity discounts on all of our fully custom and personalized products. We also encourage you to follow us on our social channels and sign up for our newsletter to receive special offers, product launches, and other Totally Sweet updates!
Do you charge sales tax on orders?
Any required sales or use tax is based on where your chocolate is headed. Your total, including any applicable tax, will be calculated for you at checkout or by one of our chocolate specialists if you’re ordering directly with us.
Do you charge GST or other International fees or taxes?
For international orders, any applicable GST, VAT, duties, or other fees are the responsibility of the customer. These charges will be noted on your final invoice so there are no surprises! Just smooth, sweet shipping across all borders & around the world!
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal. You can safely enter your credit card number via our secure server online, which encrypts all submitted information.
I just placed an order online but did not receive a confirmation email or reciept. How do I know if my order went through?

I ordered “Express Delivery” so why didn’t my order arrive as expected?
Express delivery refers to the shipping time once your order leaves our facility. For example, if you select 2-Day delivery, your package will arrive two business days after it ships, not two days after the order is placed. If you ever need help understanding timelines or tracking your shipment, our team is always happy to assist!

I want to cook or bake with your chocolate, do I have to temper it first?
All chocolate is tempered when it leaves our facility. If it is melted down for baking or cooking it will most likely break down the temper and will need to be tempered again.
What perecentage of cacoa is in your chocolate?
Our dark chocolate is a 54% cacao so it’s strong but not bitter, while our milk chocolate is a smooth 33%.
Is your chocolate gluten free?
Yes! Our solid chocolate contains no gluten. While our factory is not a certified gluten free facility, we follow careful allergen protocols as part of our SQF certification and regularly test for cross-contamination.
What’s the best way to store the chocolate after I receive my order?
We do not recommend refrigeration or freezing. Simply store the product at room temperature (63-68*F). Keep away from direct sunlight, heating units, and strong odors, as the chocolate will absorb the odors from other sources.
How long will my chocolate or cookies last?
Our pure premium chocolate has a shelf life of well over 1 year, while our chocolate items packaged with cookies or other inclusions have a shelf life of 3-6 months when stored correctly. We do not recommend refrigeration or freezing. Simply store the product at room temperature (63-68*F). Are your products Kosher?
Our premium chocolate and cookie options are all certified OUD kosher. Items that are not Kosher will be marked accordingly on the product pages. You can request a copy of our certification by emailing us at [email protected].

Do you have sugar-free chocolate?
At the moment, we don’t offer sugar-free chocolate. Our current recipes are crafted to support the premium flavor, texture, and engraving detail that Totally Chocolate is known for.

Where do your products ship from?
All orders are processed and shipped from our location in beautiful Blaine, WA, USA. Delivery Monday through Friday. (Standard business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays).

Yes! We ship to a wide variety of countries and territories. Orders placed online at totallychocolate.com are restricted to delivery within the continental US. However, if you wish to ship to HI, AK, PR or any international address, contact us to work with a chocolate specialist. NOTE: Some international destinations may be prohibited. Do you ship to residential or only businesses?
We ship to both business and residential addresses. However, we recommend that you provide an address at which someone will be present to receive the package during normal business hours. If no one is present for a residential shipment, the package will be left at the front door. For commercial shipments, the consignee or their representative is required to sign. UPS will not leave packages unsigned at a commercial address.
Can you ship to a PO Box?
Yes! We can ship U.S. domestic to P.O. Boxes and only through US Mail (USPS). Note: We can ship USPS to Military Bases (APO & FPO Boxes), please contact us for pricing! *Unable to ship to P.O. Boxes in Alaska & Hawaii.
Do I have to pay duties and taxes for Canadian shipping?
We charge a simple 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Any tariffs incurred on the order will be the responsibility of the customer and noted on the final invoice. GST, VAT, and any other international taxes and duties are the responsibility of the customer. Please note that some billing or shipping destinations require additional taxes. These taxes will be automatically calculated and applied to your order.
Can I buy in Canadian Currency?
Yes! You can absolutely purchase in Canadian currency. We use a fair exchange rate based on current market rates, with a small adjustment for exchange fees. Since we’re a U.S.-based company, refunds are processed using our exchange rate at the time of purchase. This means your refund may be slightly higher or lower depending on how the exchange rate has changed. If you ever have questions about currency or pricing, our team is happy to help!
What if my bank is Canadian, but I buy your products in US Dollars?
If you are purchasing in a currency that is not the same as your financial organization’s, then your financial organization may charge a different amount against your account based on their exchange rate policy. Basically, the bank will convert the purchase into the Canadian dollar equivalent using their own rates and charge that amount. We are not responsible for these charges. Wait, chocolate melts easily, so how do you handle shipping when it’s really hot?
Based in WA state where it rains most of the year, trust us when we say we love warm weather when it comes around! But we don’t let it get between you and a perfect chocolate moment. We deliver our delectable, branded treats year-round using temperature-controlled packaging, gel ice packs that stay cool for 72 hours in warm weather, and expedited shipping when needed to ensure the chocolate arrives in good condition. Our shipping team always checks the weather for every package. We focus on shipping the first half of the week to protect your order. While shipping conditions may fluctuate, our standards don’t.

I ordered “Express Delivery” so why didn’t my order arrive as expected?
Express delivery refers to the shipping time once your order leaves our facility. For example, if you select 2-Day delivery, your package will arrive two business days after it ships, not two days after the order is placed. I want to cook or bake with your chocolate, do I have to temper it first?
All chocolate is tempered when it leaves our facility. If it is melted down for baking or cooking it will most likely break down the temper and will need to be tempered again.
What perecentage of cacoa is in your chocolate?
Our dark chocolate is a 54% cacao so it’s strong but not bitter, while our milk chocolate is a smooth 33%.
Is your chocolate gluten free?
Yes! Our solid chocolate contains no gluten. While our factory is not a certified gluten free facility, we follow careful allergen protocols as part of our SQF certification and regularly test for cross-contamination.
What’s the best way to store the chocolate after I receive my order?
We do not recommend refrigeration or freezing. Simply store the product at room temperature (63-68*F). Keep away from direct sunlight, heating units, and strong odors, as the chocolate will absorb the odors from other sources.
How long will my chocolate or cookies last?
Our pure premium chocolate has a shelf life of well over 1 year, while our chocolate items packaged with cookies or other inclusions have a shelf life of 3-6 months when stored correctly. We do not recommend refrigeration or freezing. Simply store the product at room temperature (63-68*F). Where do your products ship from?
All orders are processed and shipped from our location in beautiful Blaine, WA, USA. Delivery Monday through Friday. (Standard business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays).

Can I ship to an international address?
Yes! We ship to a wide variety of countries and territories. Orders placed online at totallychocolate.com are restricted to delivery within the continental US. However, if you wish to ship to HI, AK, PR or any international address, contact us to work with a chocolate specialist. NOTE: Some international destinations may be prohibited. Do you ship to residential or only businesses?
We ship to both business and residential addresses. However, we recommend that you provide an address at which someone will be present to receive the package during normal business hours. If no one is present for a residential shipment, the package will be left at the front door. For commercial shipments, the consignee or their representative is required to sign. UPS will not leave packages unsigned at a commercial address.
Can you ship to a PO Box?
Yes! We can ship U.S. domestic to P.O. Boxes and only through US Mail (USPS). Note: We can ship USPS to Military Bases (APO & FPO Boxes), please contact us for pricing! *Unable to ship to P.O. Boxes in Alaska & Hawaii.
Do I have to pay duties and taxes for Canadian shipping?
We charge a simple 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Any tariffs incurred on the order will be the responsibility of the customer and noted on the final invoice. GST, VAT, and any other international taxes and duties are the responsibility of the customer. Please note that some billing or shipping destinations require additional taxes. These taxes will be automatically calculated and applied to your order.
Can I buy in Canadian Currency?
Yes! You can absolutely purchase in Canadian currency. We use a fair exchange rate based on current market rates, with a small adjustment for exchange fees. Since we’re a U.S.-based company, refunds are processed using our exchange rate at the time of purchase. This means your refund may be slightly higher or lower depending on how the exchange rate has changed. If you ever have questions about currency or pricing, our team is happy to help!
What if my bank is Canadian, but I buy your products in US Dollars?
If you are purchasing in a currency that is not the same as your financial organization’s, then your financial organization may charge a different amount against your account based on their exchange rate policy. Basically, the bank will convert the purchase into the Canadian dollar equivalent using their own rates and charge that amount. We are not responsible for these charges. We deliver our delectable, branded treats year-round using temperature-controlled packaging, gel ice packs that stay cool for 72 hours in warm weather, and expedited shipping when needed to ensure the chocolate arrives in good condition. Our shipping team always checks the weather for every package. We focus on shipping the first half of the week to protect your order. While shipping conditions may fluctuate, our standards don’t.
